This Tuesday’s Tails, Lessons From A Paralyzed Dog would like to introduce you to little love bug puppy named Willie. Every Tuesday we join with other bloggers to spread the word about homeless pets that are waiting in shelters and rescue groups for a family who will ‘opt to adopt’ them.
Willie is a 4 1/2 month-old Terrier mix who is a little ball of energy and kisses. It’s hard to believe this adorable, friendly little guy doesn’t have a home of his own. Willie is enrolled in the Heaven Can Wait Pups on Parole program where he lives at the women’s correctional facility along with lots of other homeless dogs.
He loves to play with the other dogs in the program and enjoys being around every person he has ever met. Willie cuddles with his toys when he’s tired and knows just when to relax. He is still very young and is trying his hardest with potty training. He may need a little reminder here and there when he goes to his new home. Willie will be great in a home with kids and another dog.
If you would like to learn more about Willie please contact the HCWS Dog Coordinator at: firstname.lastname@example.org. You can read more about Willie and the other dogs in Pups on Parole at: www.hcws.org.
Heaven Can Wait Animal Society was started by five animal lovers who wanted to save the “last day” cats and dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized in the Las Vegas city shelter. The group soon turned to their focus on preventing unwanted litters from being born and opened the first non-profit spay and neuter clinic in the state. Fourteen years later they have fixed more than 93,000 animals and cut the euthanasia rate in half and placed more than 8,000 homeless pets with new families.
Lessons From A Paralyzed Dog joins Dogs N Pawz in their Blog Hop every Tuesday to help abandoned dogs and cats find their forever home. If you would like me to highlight a homeless pet, please leave a message on our Contact Us page. And if you are part of a rescue group, I encourage you to take part in this weekly Blog Hop.
