You can help this adorable special needs dog get adopted. A nationwide search to find a home for Tilly was started by The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF). The rescue group is asking animal lovers everywhere to share her story.
Tilly is a 5 year-old French bulldog that was surrendered by her owners on New Year’s Day. It was the only home Tilly had ever known, but the demands of life and taking care of a special needs dog became too much for them.
Tilly was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD)* last year. Despite having surgery and acupuncture treatments, she is semi-paralyzed and incontinent. Tilly uses a custom dog wheelchair to run and go for walks, but she gets around fine without them when she is indoors. She depends on her human guardians to express her bladder, but overall she is a healthy pup.
Tilly weighs 18 pounds, loves to burrow underneath blankets and is a total love bug.
The TFPF team is “prepared to move mountains to ensure a bright future for this special little angel.” She is currently in Los Angeles, but the rescue group is willing to relocate her when the perfect family is found. Join the nationwide search to find a home for Tilly. Together we can give this Frenchie the life she deserves.
*IVDD is a condition when the discs in the spine bulge or rupture. The discs then press on the nerves of the spine causing pain, nerve damage and paralysis.
