Muffin’s Halo looks a lot like a costume your dog might wear to a Star Trek convention, but it’s actually a functional headpiece to help blind dogs move around safely in their environment. I was excited when I was introduced to the product. I know the perfect dog that could benefit from it.

Update: My Favorite Harnesses For Handicapped Dogs has been updated. Please click on this link for the best harnesses of 2016.
If you have a dog that is paralyzed or has hind end weakness, one of these specialized harnesses for handicapped dogs is the most important tool you can have on hand to keep your pet mobile and healthy. Harnesses for handicapped dogs are great because: they make it easier to move your dog from one part of the house to another, they aid in taking your dog outside to relieve themselves and they assist you when lifting your dog in and out of the car.
In addition the harnesses are designed to take the stress off your back as you assist your dog. And a harness gives your dog a sense of independence because it allows them to move about in the same way they did when they could walk on their own.
To direct pet parents to the best harness type for their dog, I put together a list of my top three favorite harnesses for handicapped dogs.

That’s why I was very excited when pawTree™ asked Cody and me to review their holistic dog food. Their products were developed by veterinarians who have customized nutrition for the unique qualities of individual dogs.
