Bailey and I have been catching up on the history of Beagles since we welcomed Olivia into our pack. We learned the early ancestors of Beagles date back to Greece in the 5th century BCE. They were used as hunting dogs. Modern Beagles were first brought to England in the 11th century by William the Conqueror. The British wanted to use them as hunting dogs as well, but considered them too slow. So, Beagles were crossed with greyhounds to increase their speed.
Eventually Beagles became popular throughout all of the British Isles, including Ireland. The Irish grew fond of the Kerry Beagle and the breed continues to thrive in the country today. With that in mind, Bailey and I decided to honor Olivia’s Irish ancestry with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. (See how we tied that all together!) We are doing this with our favorite Halo Mix’n Mores cage-free chicken dog food.
The pups have been sampling Halo Mix’n Mores Freeze-Dried Chicken for their ChewyInfluencer review.
