I understand how other people’s baby (puppy) pictures can make you turn and runaway, but I just couldn’t help myself from sharing the “good old days”. Sophie was around 6 months-old when I grabbed her from a high-kill shelter. After being part of my family for 2 days, she came down with Distemper. This picture was taken after that ordeal.
Sophie became quite a little princess puppy. She loved to be covered in blankets and rest her head on my pillow.
Here’s Sophie and her best buddies, Missy, Shadow and Bear (clockwise) relaxing in bed. Missy was adopted from a high-kill shelter, Shadow was 25lbs. underweight when she was adopted and Bear came to us as a puppy who had lived with 4 different families.
Here’s Sophie finally out of bed, but relaxing again after a long Mother’s Day hike. It’s the desert and the temperature was climbing. Sophie’s best buddies now included Shadow (back) and Cody. Thanks for looking back with me at the “good old days”.
Thanks for dropping by on this Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. Lessons From A Paralyzed Dog is a blog sharing information and resources about paralyzed and other special needs pets. Sophie was paraplegic for 5 years.
Happy almost Thanksgiving!
