Olivia’s road to healthy eating with Chicken Soup for the Soul® Pet Food has been going strong for the past two months. My little chowhound loves the taste and can’t wait for me to put her bowl down at mealtime. It’s been the perfect fit.
That’s what led me to stop by the Chicken Soup for the Soul exhibit at SuperZoo 2018.
SuperZoo is the most-attended pet industry event in North America. It hosts more than 21,000 pet professionals and this year I had to opportunity to participate.

A chance to visit with the company’s reps
I decided to visit the people who work for Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food and say thank you. The two reps I met couldn’t have been nicer. They were genuinely proud to be part of this family-owned and operated company.
The guys took me over to a huge wall of dog food on display. Then they made a point of telling me how the food is made with only whole ingredients and that no artificial colors or flavors are added.
The reps let me know that Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food can be bought in specialty dog food stores and through major online pet food websites.
They also made sure I knew the company got its start with the famous series of Chicken Soup for the Soul books that touch so many lives. The men were delightful and our visit was fun.
Olivia loved the visit too
Olivia didn’t get to attend the event, but she was thrilled that I stopped by the company’s booth. The reps sent me home with several bags of Chicken Soup for the Soul Savory Snacks for her to enjoy.
Olivia loved the taste. She devoured all of the soft, chewy, heart-shaped treats I handed to her. I was impressed with the treats as well. They are made with the same healthy ingredients as the dog food Olivia has been eating. The Savory Snacks had real chicken as their #1 ingredient and didn’t contain any corn, wheat or soy products.
When Olivia joined our family at the end of 2016, I didn’t know much about her past. I was told she had been abandoned in a parking lot when she was a puppy and then lived in several foster homes in the mid-west. She came out west on a rescue transport because, if you can believe it, Beagles are rare in this part of the country.
Olivia looked very healthy when she arrived in Las Vegas, but I really don’t have a clue about what kind of nutrition she received as a young dog. That’s why it is extremely important for me to keep Olivia on a healthy diet and Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food fits that goal. Their dog food is cooked in the USA and doesn’t contain any synthetic preservatives or fillers.
