Cody and Bailey were very excited when a box was delivered to the house last week with their names on it. Inside was a bag of handcrafted dog biscuits from the Finest Fetch Company. My dogs were given the opportunity to try this new treat thanks to Kimberly Gauthier and a recent Giveaway on her blog, Keep The Tail Wagging. Kimberly’s blog is quickly becoming the leading authority in nutrition and raw feeding for dogs and I refer to it often as a resource for Cody’s sensitive stomach issues.
Cody and Bailey won “The Elvis” biscuit which is made from peanut butter, bacon and banana; just the way the real Elvis would have liked it. Both dogs paced back and forth while I opened the bag and pulled out two bone-shaped cookies. They checked out the biscuits by smelling them while they were still in my hand and then waited for me to give one to each of them.
The biscuits were an overwhelming tasty success. They quickly became the dogs’ preferred treat after our morning walk.
I liked the fact they are nutritious dog treats. Like all of the products from Finest Fetch, “The Elvis” biscuit is baked without any artificial coloring, fillers or preservatives. It’s gluten-free and all of the ingredients are sourced in the USA.
I wasn’t familiar with Finest Fetch so I decided to do a little investigative research on the company. I discovered that Finest Fetch was started by a husband and wife team (Cindy and Michael) who love and nurture their own fur kids as much as their young adult son. They entered the competitive marketplace of pet treats because they realized the relationship between food and health for our dogs is intertwined.
“Finest Fetch treats bridge the gap between your food flavor and smell profiles and those for your four-legged family members. We take the best quality ingredients and blend them the way we would for our dining room table, leaving out components that shouldn’t be included in canine diets such as salt, sugar and onions. Everything is handcrafted from ingredients that are raised or grown in the U.S. to the highest standards for human consumption. We have also created treats for special requirements: dogs with allergies, dogs that play sports like Agility, and those who might have anxiety or get carsickness. For these treats, we worked with veterinarians, holistic animal specialists, trainers and owners to ensure that we meet your dog’s specific needs,” said Michael.
Finest Fetch treats are baked in their own 2100 square foot facility in North Carolina. Some of their other unique biscuit flavors include: Berry Berry, Breakfast Biscuit – Bacon and Egg, Chicken Biscuit with Rosemary and Chicken Parmigiano. They even make a holistic cookie for dogs who get car sick. That would have come in handy during the first 6 months when Bailey joined our family. As a young puppy poor Bailey got severely car sick every time she went for a ride with us. We were lucky that Bailey outgrew her car sickness, but I would have liked to have been able to offer her a treat that soothed her stomach.
I was happy to be introduced to a quality company like Finest Fetch and their nutritious dog treats. I hope you’ll take the time to check them out yourself.
