This Wordless Wednesday I’d like to introduce you to Valentino, a paralyzed puppy that is looking for a new home. If you live in Northern California, this sweet little Chow Chow with the face of an angel could be your next fur kid.
Valentino is pure bred Chow Chow who was accidently stepped on by his mother and suffered a traumatic injury to his spine as a result. He has a cart to get around, but he’s looking for a loving family that can give him the daily care he needs. I’m told that even though Valentino can’t walk he has the full temperament of a Chow. That means he is sweet, affectionate, outgoing and a tiny bit willful.
The puppy was abandoned by his breeder/owner after he was injured, but a small rescue group called River Bottoms Rescue stepped up to the plate to help. They are now looking for a special person to come forward and make Valentino part of their family. Ideally the group would like him to go to an experienced dog lover who is familiar with taking care of a specially-abled puppy or someone who is willing to learn and make a commitment to Valentino.
If you would like more information, please contact River Bottoms Rescue. And if you don’t have room in your house right now, I would be very grateful if you shared Valentino’s story. This little guy had a rough start to life, but we can make the rest of his life a dream come true.
