If you have dogs who live to chew, you’re going to want to enter this giveaway. Pawstruck.com will award one lucky reader a pack of their natural stuffed and filled dog bones. It’ll keep your paralyzed pup entertained for hours.
I used to think Bailey was the power chewer in the family. All through her puppyhood she’d spend hours gnawing on every hard dog treat imaginable. So, when the people at Pawstruck® asked if my dogs would like to do a review of their stuffed and filled dog bones, I knew Bailey would be on board.
The surprise came when little Olivia went into a hypnotic trance as she licked and devoured the cheese and bacon filling in her bone. I never knew she was a fan.

Our experience with the variety pack of stuffed and filled dog bones
Bailey and Olivia always seem to know when a package is delivered for them. Maybe it’s the scent. But both of my girls swarmed the bag as I opened the Pawstruck bones. We received the variety pack which included 3 bones individually filled with: peanut butter, cheese and bacon and beef.
I liked the chews because they’re made in the USA to ensure their health and safety to my pups. Bailey and Olivia loved them for the tasty fillings.
Bailey’s sniff and lick technique
Each of my dogs explored their new treat in a different way. Bailey, who’s a cautious girl, circled her bone and tasted it from different angles. Then she sat down to give it a thorough sniff test.
When it passed, she licked the yummy stuffed peanut butter inside.
Olivia’s I’m in love with you approach
I keep forgetting that Olivia’s only been with my family for two years. It seems like she’s been with us forever. That said, I’m not sure if she’s ever had a stuffed dog bone.
Her technique was to fall in love with the bone and its filling. She laid down, set the bone upright, closed her eyes and softly licked the contents. Occasionally, she would flip it over to see how the other end tasted.
It was pretty cute to watch.

The importance of treats for paralyzed dogs who live to chew
I’ve written a lot about the importance of playtime for disabled pets. Because their mobility is limited, pet owners need to find creative ways to keep your dog engaged in life.
It was one of the first lessons I learned when Sophie was sick. She was depressed and lethargic if we didn’t spend time each day playing. Giving her a tasty bone filled with peanut butter or cheese was one of the best ways I found to lift her spirits.

The Pawstruck.com company
The company was started by Kyle Goguen who noticed a disturbing trend when he bought treats for Tyson, his Boxer puppy. He wanted treats that had simple ingredients, no artificial additives and were reasonably priced.
“Everything I picked up was made with artificial ingredients,” said Goguen.
“I scoured the Internet to find reasonably priced, natural treats and chews, but they weren’t available. That frustration became my inspiration for creating Pawstruck. I decided to leave my career in engineering for something I was passionate about—supplying other responsible pet owners with high quality and reasonably priced dog products.”
Today Goguen is CEO of Pawstruck.com and Tyson is his Chief Canine Officer

Daisy would love these bones . She is definitely from the chewers .. all her toys have the stuffing ripped out of them then she becomes bored .. with these bones it seems like she’ll be entertained for quite sometime. Daisy is going on 4 years plus being paralyzed and finding things to entertain and keep her happy and healthy is always an adventure ..
Hi MariaElena, Please tell Daisy she’s entered in the Giveaway.
Ayana (her name means beautiful flower in Ethiopian) is a beautiful Aussie mix who was rescued from a drainage ditch in Ethiopia where she was found paralyzed with multiple back fractures, in extreme pain scared and giving up. Following a series of lucky events for her and meeting the right people she was given an amazing second chance. She has never looked back and takes advantage of every opportunity. I was lucky to be her foster mom in the US, but after a year, on the anniversary of her arrival in the US and new start I told her she was home, safe and loved. She was part of the family and she never had to worry again about food, water, love, shelter. She had 5 sisters to teach her the ropes of being a spoiled house dog. She grieved when the matriarch of our family, Hannah passed. She has learned to not only love but also accept love. I am so proud of her.
She deserves to win because despite her disability she has the heart of an Aussie and needs more exercise and mental stimulation than I am able to provide her as shortly after I had a serious health event and am a recovering transplant patient. As a result I am extremely weak and and exhausted and unable to provide her the mental and physical stimulation she craves. We do our best and she is accepting of the situation but she deserves more.
Jill, Thank you for saving Ayana. She is entered in the giveaway.

“IS THIS YOURS” is one of Snickers most favorite three words said together! He knows this means he is getting something special outside of his normal treat. I like to keep him busy with little activities because it’s difficult at times to see him just laying there unable to do something as simple as follow us around the house or play with the other pets. He absolutely loves a good treat and I just love making him feel special.
I have three dogs of which one is paralyzed. I always read all ingredients and where a product is made when I shop for them. I will only buy products made in the USA. I never tried your product, but would like to try it for my girls. I’m sure the chew treats would keep them busy when I am at work or away from home for a period of time.
Catherine, Your dog is entered in the giveaway.
Lisa, Snickers is entered in the giveaway.
Justice could really use these bones to keep her busy. She had Both her back legs and tail amputated two days ago. The bones would definitely help keep her busy while she heals.
Shelly, I’m sorry to hear about your dog. I hope she’ll be okay. Justice is entered in the giveaway.
Lucy would love the bones to chew on! Being a rescue dog from China, she understands the importance of making certain that the food or chews that she has is healthy treats without additives. She loves to chew!
Ashley, Let Lucy know she’s entered in the giveaway.
Max would love to try this new treat. He’s small with small front teeth; we discovered shortly after his rescue that his upper front teeth needed to be removed. He loves to stalk his schnoodle brother, wait until anything he’s chewed is nice and soft and then quickly swipe it to call his own. Having filling in a bone that Max could savor slowly would be super fun – and he tells me he MIGHT share (a little) with his bigger brother! Thanks for reading this story! 😉
Carol, Max is entered in the giveaway.
Our paralyzed pup Raven loves to chew on hard bones – keeps her teeth nice & clean! She also gets so excited about her bones that she throws them around & scoots to get to them. She will be 1 thus month & these would make a great birthday gift!!!
Vicky, Raven is entered in the giveaway.
Yesterday I received a call from my vet’s office and yet another French Bulldog was diagnosed with Spina Bifida. Her owner ordered the vet’s staff to have the dog put to sleep. Thankfully, one of the staff has a Bulldog with Spina Bifida and talked the owner into signing the dog over to me. The baby girl is only 11 weeks old and is incontinent, of course, her back legs don’t work.
Well, I picked her up yesterday and named her Mela. Mela is very afraid of this new environment and I put her in a secure place where she can see all the household activity. I gave her several bones to chew and she loved them! I know Mela would love the Pawstruck chews even more! Thank you!!
Debra & Mela
Debra, Thank you for saving this puppy. Mela is entered in the giveaway.
Thank you!
My dog is a chewer! He would absolutely love these Pawstruck chewies!
Carolsue, Your dog is entered in the giveaway.
Watson works hard in therapy every week . He loves his time away from his 3 senior puggle sisters. I usually provide a special streat for his hard work since he has time alone with me afterwards. He loves to lick, chew and especially sniff! He would love a Pawstruck treat and would share his pictures with all of his facebook followers who get inspiration from his determination. Watson continues to inspire others with his positive attitude to not be defined by his disability.
Hi Kiki, Please let Watson know he’s entered in the giveaway.
While I am not eligible to enter, living in Canada, I just had to make a comment! I too try very hard to find made in NA, products without a lot of additives, etc. Our paralyzed dog Manny (yorkshire and our 3rd gen. breeding) is a toy player, chewer. Squeakie toys rule….but haven’t found a “bone” that really interests her. Will be looking. We’re new to having a paralyzed dog, and were highly gob smacked by our Vet College attitude….don’t do CT or anything to actually diagnose….just either go for the full meal expensive surgery (without full reason why etc.) or put your dog down. Well…how to put down a dog that is alert, playing with her toys, etc. Once she felt a little better with support of our local vet, she even continued to take her toy to the bath when her dad was there, as they use to play duckie! She is amazing loving dog (middle child she finally came into her own and this happens). Her sister is not a player so that sucks. Love this site, and what you are doing to help us be educated, uplifted, and learn about products and good sources. Keep up the great work, and everyone enjoy your dogs…they are all special
Charmaine, Thank you for the kind words about my website. I’m sorry to hear about Manny and about the experience you’re having with your vet. Maybe you could reach out to an integrative or holistic vet for a different approach or even get a consult from a veterinary neurologist. It seems odd that your vet recommends surgery without a diagnosis. But in any case, I agree with you about not euthanizing a dog who’s alert and not in pain. If you go our FAQ page or our Daily Living tab you’ll find lots of ways many things to support her. You might also want to look into canine rehabilitation. Did you know Canada is the leader in this field? Please let me know if you have any questions. Best wishes.
