For the month of September, Chewy.com sent Bailey one of their newest treats to sample. She received a bag of tasty Halo Healthsome Vegetarian Biscuits with Peanut ‘n Pumpkin. Bailey was excited when the biscuits arrived at our door. She’s been a fan of Halo dog treats since she was asked as a puppy to review a jar of their Liv-a-Littles® freeze-dried morsels.
The Taste Test
You might wonder what kind of dog signs up to taste test a vegetarian biscuit whose main ingredients are peanuts and pumpkin, but these are two of Bailey’s favorites. She fell in love with peanut butter when I added it to a sterile white bone while she was teething and Bailey has always liked the taste of pumpkin which she eats to improve her digestion.
I was a little concerned if the biscuits would actually taste like the flavors Bailey loves until I read that the peanuts and pumpkin were baked into the treats. I also liked how the Halo Healthsome biscuits were loaded with other nutritious fruits and vegetables like carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes and apples. Bailey liked the taste of the biscuit and was happy with its big cookie crunch.
