It’s Tuesday so Lessons From A Paralyzed Dog is switching gears to participate in Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop and find homes for the cats and dogs waiting to be adopted at Heaven Can Wait Animal Society.
Many of us have moved at least once in our lifetime, we’ve packed, unpacked and learned about our new home or town. Imagine being a seven year-old cat and having lived in 9 different homes. With each home you have to get used to new people, new surroundings and new rules! Tilly, a Snowshoe Siamese mix is tired of bouncing from family to family and wants to find her forever home.
This sweet girl was originally adopted by Heaven Can Wait Animal Society in Las Vegas as a kitten in 2006, but she was returned five and a half years later due to allergies in extended family members. Tilly then had a home for a year with an elderly companion, but was returned when her owner could no longer care for her due to health reasons. Tilly was adopted again last year and thought she had her forever home. Sadly she ended up back at Heaven Can Wait in late 2013 for unknown reasons.
Tilly is now in foster care while she is waiting for the one special person who will adopt and give her the lifelong home she deserves.
Snowshoe Siamese cats are known to be intelligent, strong willed and affectionate with the right person. Tilly is all of these. She is also very vocal and loves to talk. Tilly can be a little standoffish with new people, but with time and attention she will be a loyal companion. Her ideal owner should be someone who is committed to giving Tilly the patience she needs and would love to have a very smart, chatty cat. As with all pets, Tilly is looking for a family where she will be cherished and understood.
Cats have 9 lives, but they shouldn’t have 9 different homes. Help Tilly find her last home! If you feel that you are the right person for Tilly, let us know. We would love to talk to you about this beautiful girl!

Heaven Can Wait Animal Society has been placing abandoned and abused cats and dogs into new homes since 2000.
