This Tuesday’s Tails, Lessons From A Paralyzed Dog would like to introduce you to a handsome little guy named Trevor. Every Tuesday we join with other bloggers to spread the word about homeless pets that are waiting in shelters and rescue groups for a family who will ‘opt to adopt’ them.
Trevor was rescued by Heaven Can Wait Animal Society in Las Vegas, NV and currently lives at the women’s correctional facility with his inmate handler. At age 7 Trevor might be a little more mature than a puppy, but he is very young at heart.
The volunteers at Heaven Can Wait say the Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix is smart and loves to learn new tricks or play a game of fetch. Trevor’s past has made him a bit shy when he meets new people, but he’s learning to trust people and becoming a loving and affectionate pup. Trevor would love to be the center of his new owner’s world.
If you would like to meet Trevor, please contact the Heaven Can Wait Dog Coordinator at: email@example.com.
Heaven Can Wait Animal Society was started in 2000 by five animal lovers who wanted to save the “last day” cats and dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized in the Las Vegas city shelter. The group soon turned their focus to preventing unwanted litters from being born and opened the first non-profit spay and neuter clinic in the state. Fourteen years later they have fixed more than 93,000 animals and cut the euthanasia rate in half while also placing more than 8,000 homeless pets with new families.
Lessons From A Paralyzed Dog joins Dogs N Pawz in their Blog Hop every Tuesday to help abandoned dogs and cats find their forever homes. If you would like me to highlight a homeless pet, please leave a message on our Contact Us page. And if you are part of a rescue group, I encourage you to take part in this weekly Blog Hop.
